Shadow’s Eve Returns in Trove, Letting Players Arm Ghosts This Halloween Press ReleaseNews 21 Oct Written By Legacy Jill Shadow’s Eve returns today to Trove, gamigo’s free-to-play voxel action MMO, and runs through November 3 on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Lost Souls have unfinished business, and sinister creatures are blocking their path to the afterlife. Players will help the spirits settle their troubles, craft Soul Gear to arm them, and stand beside them in battle. Working with Fiona Catastra, players will explore Trove’s Adventure Worlds to recover a writer’s lost pages, restore a hunter’s memories, and repair a musician’s broken instrument. But with Q'bthulhu preventing the souls from crossing the veil, resolving their unfinished business won’t be enough. Players collect crafting materials by helping Lost Souls and defeating enemies in Adventure Worlds. These materials are used to craft Soul Gear for the Lost Souls to wear in battle. Once a Lost Soul receives gear, it will “arm up” and assist players in the fight against Chaos Creatures, and with those creatures defeated, the newly armed Soul will be finally free to cross the veil. Defeating Chaos Creatures earns Chaos Essence, which players can exchange with Fiona Catastra for new Halloween collectibles: - Ghostly Wheels, a spooky chariot mount for a ride into the unknown - Curious Cauldron, a bubbling cauldron Ally with something sinister brewing - Armored Andy, a ghost Ally clad in shining armor - Soul Sentry, a spectral costume for the Revenant - Spectral Souls, an aura that leaves a trail of ghostly faces Players can also spend Chaos Essence at the Shadowy Station to pick up collectibles from previous Shadow’s Eve events. Trove is available on Windows PC through Steam and the official website, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It can also be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility.
