Fight Murderous Puppets to the Beat in Rhythm-Action Roguelite Alpha Nomos Press ReleaseNews 12 Oct Written By Legacy Jill October 12, 2026 - Alpha Nomos, the rhythm-action roguelite from independent studio RibCage Games, is now available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. To mark the launch, the game is 10% off on Steam for the first 7 days. To celebrate launch day, RibCage Games has released a launch trailer. It shows Cello's instrument-driven combat, the powerups that remix every run and the corrupted circus waiting at the end of the road. Check it out below. Something broke the music and the world broke with it. Cities stand empty, the circus has turned on its audience and the puppets that once performed now hunt anything that moves. Cello and her friends are the last ones still listening and the only way forward is to fight in time. Alpha Nomos was built on one idea: rhythm should be the core of the combat, not something layered on top. Every input lands exactly when it is pressed, with no quantization snapping it to the beat. Hitting on time is a real skill and the game rewards players who learn it. Cello's weapons are real instruments recorded live in the studio, from cello to the xylophone-blade Xyloblades, so every strike carries an actual performance. As players improve, the soundtrack builds with them. Each run is shaped by musical powerups such as Reverb, Flanger and Delay. Stacking them changes how Cello fights and how the whole run sounds, so no two builds play or sound the same. Between runs, players can visit Maestro's move shop to expand their arsenal. A timing offset lets every player tune the beat to their own setup before stepping into the arena. “We always felt rhythm games could go further, so we made the beat the reason you fight instead of something playing in the background. Every weapon you hear was played by a real musician and every hit lands exactly when you press it. Today the full show is finally open and we can't wait to hear what players make of it,” said Itamar Berner, CEO at RibCage Games. KEY FEATURES True-to-Press Rhythm Combat: No input quantization. Every hit lands when you press it and staying on beat is what makes you dangerous. Live Instruments, Real Weapons: Every weapon is a studio-recorded instrument, played by real musicians. Powerups You Can Hear: Stack Reverb, Flanger, Delay and more to reshape your moves and your mix in the same run. A Soundtrack That Follows You: The music builds as your performance does, turning each run into its own track. Puppetcore World: Abandoned cities and a twisted circus full of puppets that have forgotten how to stop. PCPlaystationPS5SteamXboxXbox Series X|SAlpha NomosRibCage Games Legacy Jill
