Affiliate links, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch,
From January 2019 we'll keep note of how many affiliate links we post & exactly how much they generate each month / year.
While everyone is free to have their own opinions & use any social media they desire we'll never be on facebook.
We've considered instagram several times & its possibly something we'll do in 2019
We do have a twitch account if we ever start a weekly stream we'll add those numbers to the stats
Anyone who has browsed even just a handful of posts on here will probably realise we are quite fond of stats.
From stat filled checklists to even how many words are in a press release or review (yes they are accurate & no thankfully we don't manually count them.)
So it is with at least some irony that these monthly & yearly stat posts are stats we actually really don't care about.
We've been advised sharing some of these numbers probably isn't a great idea afterall name another big site that publicly posts this data (accurately & honestly) every single month.
If numbers were high everyone could just copy what we do, if numbers were laughably low then everyone could, well just laugh.
We could post numbers so low we lose any chance of getting a review copy of a game, and while extreme perhaps we'd be removed from a press list entirely.
But Legacy wasn't created to be the biggest most popular website in the world, Legacy wasn't created just to get free games every week,
Legacy was created to share our passion for the industry & hopefully leave our own mini little legacy long after i'm gone.
Would we like a hundred million views a year sure.
Would I shut this thing down if every number across the stats was a single digit?
Video games have been the one constant throughout my life and will always continue to be so.
Sure we hope the numbers will continue to grow but rise or fall this Legacy will go on.
From January 2019 we'll also log likes and retweets they aren't included here because twitter Analytics doesn't find it relevant enough to count strangely.
If you'd like to help boost these numbers this month you can follow us HERE

Legacy only relaunched on November 1st 2018 this section will begin next month.

(There will eventually be thousands)
News Not Click Bait
Official Press Releases
Straight from the sources themselves.
We publish full press releases without editing or spinning the facts to suit our own agenda.
Digital Store updates
We'll try post as many updates as possible on what's releasing & what's on sale.
Video streams of various events from multiple companies across the world.
Most notably of course E3 but a fair few others too.
Outside of reviews I don't spend a lot of time voicing my own opinion on things and this will be one of the few places I'll be using total editorial freedom to do so.
Occasionally we'll post news on games that have kick starter campaigns under way.
We can't cover every single one but we'll try to Take a look at ones we're made aware of that have at least 14 days to go.
Retro Press Releases
A look back to how news was spread in the old days with press releases from the same day at least 10 years in the past.
We don't make posts just to push affiliate links but sometimes they are included.
Using these links helps the site and 100% of revenue from them is put back into Legacy.
They are all clearly marked and every post that includes them is tagged as such.
If you want to support is then great but if you'd rather not we're fine with that too.
If you want to see every tag or archive in the database you can do so here.
The list will be very long though
