DARKNESS AMONG US, A NEW CHAPTER FOR DEAD BY DAYLIGHT LAUNCHING ON DECEMBER 11
DEDICATED SERVERS FOR SUMMER 2019
Montreal, Canada—December 6, 2018—Behaviour® is excited to announce the release of its tenth chapter for its survival-horror game Dead by Daylight® on December 11. Darkness Among Us includes a new map, killer and survivor. The studio also announced dedicated servers for the summer of 2019. Now is the perfect time to join the 10 million players who have enjoyed this daunting game of cat and mouse since launch, in June 2016.
CHAPTER 10: DARKNESS AMONG US
For the first time in Dead by Daylight, the killer is human, making him much harder to differentiate from the survivors. In this chapter, players will encounter a group of four friends who have become killers. They call themselves The Legion and they draw their power from the thrillingly insane freedom of not abiding to any rules but their own. Players will choose to embody one of the agile teenagers able to catch their victims off-guard with their power, Feral Frenzy.
The new survivor is Jeff Johansen, an artist with a heart of gold. He has a dark past but led a quiet, simple life until his father passed, leaving things to sort out. The action takes place in Ormond, Canada, once a small, remote ski town with idyllic slopes, turned obsolete. Mount Ormond is now a soulful, deforested graveyard where gangs and teenagers go looking for trouble. Some people believe that the mountain hides a bottomless hole from where no one can return…
The chapter will be available on PC through Steam and other digital distribution channels and on PlayStation 4® and XBOX One.
The Darkness Among Us Chapter includes:
1 New Killer + Perks and Power — The Legion
1 New Survivor + Perks—Jeff Johansen
1 New Map—Mount Ormond Resort
1 Exclusive Item—Jeff’s In the Shadow of Death shirt
Dead by Daylight will be migrating from a peer-to-peer network to dedicated servers on all platforms by the end of summer 2019. This is the next logical step in ensuring the longevity of the game for the future. Going with dedicated servers will improve the stability and performance when connecting to a live match and will bring more flexibility.
“This has been the number one request from the community and we are excited to finally be able to make this announcement! We are also happy to announce that our team of programmers has already done a first successful internal test back in November. We still have a long way to go before fully migrating to dedicated servers and will keep you posted on our milestones as we progress.” said Mathieu Côté, Game Director, Dead by Daylight

Welcome to the first editorial of what will hopefully be the the final refresh (restart) of Legacy.
I'd like to say I've spent the past few months perfecting the layout and design of the site as well as preparing as much of the database for the November relaunch which is partly true but unfortunately I've also had a number of health and family issues to deal with too.
Legacy is a huge personal project and I have a grand vision for how I eventually want everything to look and a huge number of features I'd like to include.
I have however finally come to the logical conclusion that trying to push everything at the exact same time will do little more than give a disjointed and unorganised presentation and service.
We'll be starting out as a news site for the rest of 2018 (with a couple of features thrown in if time permits)
During this time I'll also be working on the checklists and the database behind the scenes.
From January 2019 I'll be trying to add a little more varied content each week and we'll hopefully have the Legacy store up an running in April 2019.
I genuinely thank everyone who has stuck by the website during the many restarts and changes, that includes both visitors and the many gaming developers and publishers who kept in touch I still read every single press release during the down time all 3793 of them (yes I keep count)
Legacy will begin publishing press releases again from Monday November 5th 2018.
I hope everyone had a happy Halloween and lets all try and have a good end to the year.
As this is the first editorial of the new look legacy I've pretty much covered everything new that will be coming to legacy this month.
For the most part this month will only be focused on the many press releases that land in our inbox or those shared with us by our press partners.
WE will be reviewing a couple of games but only those sent to us for review.
We will not be making any personal review requests until 2019.
There is also a possibility a new feature might be coming to the site on November 25th but that is more of a personal project and not entirely game related so will most likely just sit in a corner ignored by the vast majority of our visitors.
Dead By Daylight (PS4)
I picked up Dead By Daylight in a digital store sale back in April 2018.
I was pretty hesitant at the time as I'm not the biggest fan of online only games and the original Perfect Dark aside I've never been all that into first person view in games either (It's only for the killer in this game)
I've played the game almost every single day since that purchase and it's almost certainly going to be my most played and favourite game this year (Yes I'm aware the game came out in 2017)
I've quite enjoyed the Halloween event ends tomorrow (November 2nd) and have put quite a bit of effort into getting all 60 vials enough to get some new special outfits for some of the killers.
Unfortunately though this event made playing as a survivor more difficult as most of my teammates focused solely on trying to collect nectar and ignored all the generators for a good few minutes at the start of almost every game, a killer's dream indeed.
This will be one of the first games I review once we begin posting non review copies of games in early 2019.
Gems Of War (PS4)
I first downloaded Gems of war on July 16th 2017 and 15 months on I still log in and play for at least a few minutes every single day.
The game is free to play and can be easily played without ever spending any real world money (I have personally to help review some of the games premium features)
There is a little unfairness that helps keep the players in the top guilds at the very top almost all of the time which I'll be covering in the games review early next year.
But it can also be argued those are the players who are putting the most hours into the game every week.
For a casual player who wants to drop in and out and doesn't mind a match 3 format with a fantasy fighting twist I'd certainly recommend giving it a shot.
The game is also available on Google Play, iOS, Steam & Xbox One.
Unfortunately the game doesn't currently support cross play (I'd love to not miss out on my daily bonuses while i'm away from home)
Super Mario Party (Switch)
The best Mario Party in recent years?
Yes in my opinion it most certainly is.
As good if not better than the original Mario Party trilogy on the N64 (as I've seen multiple people suggest)
No in my opinion most definitely not.
The lack of game boards is probably the biggest issue for me personally (I do expect Nintendo to add more in the future) the lack on a proper online board game right after the release of Nintendo online is also a strange choice.
Nintendo will say the turn based nature or length of time required to play the game doesn't suit online play but simply including a very small number of online mini games is a very poor alternative.

News Not Click Bait
Official Press Releases
Straight from the sources themselves.
We publish full press releases without editing or spinning the facts to suit our own agenda.
Digital Store updates
We'll try post as many updates as possible on what's releasing & what's on sale.
Video streams of various events from multiple companies across the world.
Most notably of course E3 but a fair few others too.
Outside of reviews I don't spend a lot of time voicing my own opinion on things and this will be one of the few places I'll be using total editorial freedom to do so.
Occasionally we'll post news on games that have kick starter campaigns under way.
We can't cover every single one but we'll try to Take a look at ones we're made aware of that have at least 14 days to go.
Retro Press Releases
A look back to how news was spread in the old days with press releases from the same day at least 10 years in the past.
We don't make posts just to push affiliate links but sometimes they are included.
Using these links helps the site and 100% of revenue from them is put back into Legacy.
They are all clearly marked and every post that includes them is tagged as such.
If you want to support is then great but if you'd rather not we're fine with that too.
If you want to see every tag or archive in the database you can do so here.
The list will be very long though
