As the Covid 19 virus sweeps the globe a few real world issues will occasionally slow down the progress of Legacy and the industry in general at least in the short to medium term.
I'd first of like to start by saying this is the first and last post I will ever be making with regards to the covid 19 virus.
There are a number of large gaming sites out there that drop it into almost every other post (including completely unrelated ones) purely for clicks and views
For the past 2 days I've had to help my parents who are both at very high risk from the virus prepare and set up plans to help get them through until the main threats have passed.
With that in mind and and having 4 kids 3 of whom have autism and all of whom are now going to be home for at least the next month or so and likely for much longer the speed and volume of of work I'll be outputting will vary on a daily basis.
I am aiming to make at least 1 post a day and hopefully a few more but of course during this time I can't make any guarantee on how many or how regular they'll be.
I'll be posting this week's Nintendo eShop Update (which is due today) over the weekend along with the PlayStation, Xbox and new gaming related Humble Bundles (That includes a live now Steam Capcom bundle if you're interested)
I have around 80 work emails from the past 2 days to go through today some of these are are press releases others are just news and updates and some will just be hi how are you doing kind of things.
I apologize to the developers, publishers and of course you the readers for the delays in publishing the news but I'll do my best to post as many relevant ones as quickly as possible and get caught up by the end of the weekend.
And if of course I manage to find a few spare minutes to myself (and if it arrives tomorrow) I'll be playing and recording my adventures in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
The current plan is to document my first year with the game, I'm yet to decide if I'll just do a daily / weekly highlight reel or even record every second I play during the first year.
While I'd personally like to do the latter the amount of work required with doing so is very time consuming.
Editing video (adding links and watermarks ect) can involve many hours of work (or at least waiting around) in addition to the uploading and processing on YouTube.
The video game industry like many many others will be effected by the virus and it's global spread.
Games will be delayed and I wouldn't be surprised if new console releases are pushed back until next year with slow down in production of both parts and the overall consoles themselves.
While nothing has been announced about the big console launches yet as we move towards the end of the year please try and remember delays to either consoles or games are 99% of the time not desired by anyone in the industry not just the fans and consumers.
I wish everyone and their families well in particular over the next few months and happy gaming to all.
