As another year passes by a brief flu ridden look at the newly updated Legacy publishing schedule and the beginning of a crazy life story.
As I sit sneezing writing this in real time on February 21st 2020 I'm hopefully nearing the end of what has been a week long Flu.
During the past few days in particular I have been so ill I genuinely struggled to get out of bed for more than a few minutes at a time and included a not quite so planned trip down the stairs in the fastest but not quite healthiest way.
But lets forget about all that today I'm 40 years old given various family history with illnesses and other issues accidents and serious issues aside I'm probably at or just over the half way point in my life.
I've spent the last few years reflecting on various things as I more or less finished My Life My Mind (more on that shortly)
As the Legacy is a lifetime (& hopefully beyond) project I'm always constantly trying to work my way through the publishing schedule and fit in as much as I possibly can each week / month / year as possible and hopefully as the site expands the workforce will grow and the amount & quality of content will grow too.
But while i'm currently doing 99% of the work on my own at present and the current flu has proved to me to grow the site in the way I want in the time frame I want I need to move some of the weekly features to a monthly schedule, this largely revolves around the achievements and hints sections while the reviews will probably move to a bi weekly basis.
The news section will still be updated almost daily and check lists will be posted as soon as I'm happy with them to go live but I expect them to be fairly regularly and some weeks will see more than one list in a week.
I'm also updating all the lists to include images for each item on the master list.
While some of that slimming down might not sound like that much of a time saver it will make things easier and give me more time to focus on some of the features and video editing (at time of writing I currently have 108 videos awaiting editing) as well as general research and book editing.
My Life My Mind
Today I'm 40 years old I've got 4 kids, a newly built house, hundreds of consoles more than 10,000 video games and this is the only job I have to do most of that sound pretty great I'm sure and hey I won't argue with that.
I've also got autism, suffered from serious depression had the love of my life murdered, lost 4 kids before they were born and a whole lot of other dark stuff.
Video game Legacy probably isn't the best place to post an autobiography that isn't exclusively video game related but hey my website my legacy and my rules I guess.
It will be posted under it's own section away from the rest of the news and features so if you aren't interested you'll never have to interact with it.
But if your just a tiny bit curious the foreword will be live very shortly after this blog post goes live and the book features it's own song list and frequent talking and occasionally singing sheep.
Yes it's an autobiography but it's not one like anything you've ever read before or will ever read again.
