Regardless if Legacy backs a project or not we are not responsible in anyway for your own choices. Some Kickstarter projects are a massive success and others are a complete failure. Every project comes with it's own risks and rewards please do your research and make an informed decision on the project. Has Legacy Backed this project? No Why? Earlier this year I decided to part company with my near 40 year gaming collection so while this time last year I'd have been straight in for a physical NES game but now I'm happy o leave it for those that ill collect the games rather than simply back it now to sell for a bigger price a few years down the line. I will be getting it's prequel game Flea on the Evercade system and if this game makes it to that system or the Switch stretch goal I'd support the dev there too. Risks and challenges Direct from the developer Lowtek Games has delivered on previous kickster game Flea so the development and manufacture should have most f the kinks ironed out this time round. We are living in Covid times though so things could get delayed in whats we could not see.

Regardless if Legacy backs a project or not we are not responsible in anyway for your own choices. Some Kickstarter projects are a massive success and others are a complete failure. Every project comes with it's own risks and rewards please do your research and make an informed decision on the project. Has Legacy Backed this project? Yes. Why? One of my favourite games of all time is Zelda a link to the past on the SNES and 16 bit rpgs in general. If ever a project was going to catch my attention this was probably going to be it. Of course inspired by projects never have the same budgets or dare I say skill sets of those that created the original work I feel I have seen enough to give me an enjoyable experience with this project and if in the end I don't like it I'll give an honest and open review about what went wrong right here on this website. It should be noted however I only backed the project at the $100 level because as a serious Nintendo collector I want a physical Nintendo Switch copy of the game. Trying to obtain one after the fact (If it remained a kickstarter exclusive) would likely cost me far more than $100. If with a few hours to go the switch stretch goal isn't even close to being met I will reduce my pledge to a lower level. I will still back the project as a fan but I'm not paying $100 to play the game on my pc. I would also like to point out that there is absolutely no way at the time of publication, at the time of the kickstarter going live or even by the time the kickstarter ends that Aloft Studios have an agreement with Nintendo that they can obtain the physical carts required and release the game physically for the switch. (A deal with Limited Run Games, Super Rare games or someone similar is probably more likely) Risks and challenges Direct from the developer As a small studio still establishing its history, we have striven to provide our users with a complete picture of what the final product will be. As part of this approach, we have made a number of demos available throughout our past development, which offer a vertical slice of all of our major game systems and core gameplay. As well being invaluable for improving our work through public feedback, we believe these demos are an important part of demonstrating our competence to complete the project as a whole. We also view the demos as a tool to help mitigate the general risks to backers associated with indie game kickstarters, since you can try before you buy! With this project, we are very much emphasizing quality over other concerns. As a rule, when some element of development is not up to our high standards, we continue put effort into that element until it is a joy to interact with in the game context. This relentless drive toward a quality user experience causes the time-frames to stretch from time to time, so we must stress that moderate delays are part of the process.
