About The Game
Take your mind on a ride with MindFeud!
MindFeud is a fun and addictive board game. Learning the game is easy: you have to create smart formations of tiles in different colours and symbols to gain more points than your opponent. You will find out that winning is harder than you think!
Start practising against our MindFeud robot 'ADAMA' or try to solve one of the many puzzles. Then invite your friends to beat them online!
MindFeud is yet another fun puzzle game from Engine software.
The game is played on a board that looks fairly similar to a scrabble board (bonus squares are placed slightly differently)
But rather than letters and words the game is played with coloured symbols.
The game is very easy to play either create lines with all the same colours or the same symbols (duplicates not allowed)
The board is very similar to scrabble to play simply insert a row of the same colours or same shapes in a line.
The game features several modes Practice (vs cpu player multiple difficulties) Single player play across various size boards trying to amass as big a score as possible.
Puzzle mode features 25 puzzles where you must use every tile provided to get a set score (multiple placements allowed some will take more thought than others.
Finally multi player mode is the standard game played online.
All 25 puzzles require you to reach an exact target score.
You can select friends to play against or play against a random online player.
This mode seems a little barren of players at present which for me at least is quite a shame as the game can be a lot of fun.
Unfortunately there is no local vs option via download play or even with both players owning a copy.
The only way to play vs is online so even sat next to each other you'll need an internet connection.
Scrabble fans in particular should pick up the general play of the game very quickly but even for those that don't like or play scrabble it's very easy to learn.
My partner has played the game and liked it quite a bit and she is most definitely not a scrabble fan!
Another look at a game in progress 30 points isn't too bad a score for a move.
Very easy to learn and play.
25 puzzles to solve between games.
High score chasing single player games
Online multiplayer options.
It's certainly always nice when I win!
ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
At the time of review online play seems very limited Hopefully that will pick up.
No local vs play possible.
Another look at a board this time from the puzzle section.
At present the online multi player is lacking in players.
Which is a shame though not entirely unexpected given the vast amount of games available on the 3ds e-shop coupled with all the retail releases over the last few months.
The lack of current online players will obviously put some buyers off but at the same time the only way to increase the game's online players is for new players to buy the game so I hope a few more will be willing to give it a go.
Those that are looking for a new puzzle / board game should certainly give this some consideration.
